if this is true
a friend of mine there parents are putting a monitoring software on there computer,
and not only can he view his child things, but can view all the conversations of me and my friend, can view my profile(myspace, facebook ect it has a thing like top 10 visited profiles and stuff) , and if i were to go on the computer all my personal info for websites( password, username, and so forth) will be recorded on the computer
is that illegal since i feel very uncomfortable that he is able to view all those things, even tho im not hiding anything
its the fact that its my privacy
i live in canada if that helps.
If your friend is a minor, the computer and internet access belong to their parents … not them.
Yes, the owner of the computer can use any time of “spy” software or big brother program they want to.
When you use other people’s equipment, you must abide by their rules! Don’t want your friend’s parents to have access to your stuff? Don’t use their computer to surf the ‘net.
When you are at work your employer can use the same (or better) tools to track what you do on company equipment. They can even fire you based on what they learn by using snoop programs!
