I have an acer laptop . I rebooted through F12 and I must have altered a setting. The computer won’t start.?
The start up light turns on the cd drive starts and then switches off. The monitor screen does not swith on at any time. It was working ok before the reboot.
Take the battery ‘out’ – plug in the charger and switch on – press the centre key and hold for 10 -15 secounds (its done on modes) when it starts up – put the battery back in while still on – you won’t get an electric shock because your only pushing the battery back into its slot – (don’t drop the LT) .
All your doing is giving the inside a ‘little’ power jolt – the battery can’t do that on its own – its not powerful enough.
When the same thing happened to me – I contacted the ‘Acer’ tech guys who told me to do this – it worked fine afterwards.
Motherboard won’t start with power button – only with Green and Black cable ATX trick – hiq
