Why is my computer monitor pink?
My electricity was out for 14 hours yesterday. The computer had been on (in the power save mode) when it out so, of course, it restarted when the power came back on. The only problem is that the screen, which was pure white, now has a pink-ish tint. I tried degaussing and adjusting brightness and tint but that didn’t work. How do I fix it?
I tried the VGA cable idea but that didn’t work. Now I’ve also noticed that the screen sort of flickers when I get it out of screensaver or energy saver mode. I am still totally open to suggestions!
try moving the VGA cable.
[the cable the connects your monitor to the PC]
Just remove it and reconnect it and see if that does the trick.
EDIT:
Hmmm… then it could possibly be you video card. Which in that case you might have to get a new one. Or it could be the monitor it self.
My TV is pretty old and it starting to have red/purple/pink tints on the sides and spreading inward. But its a TV but maybe same principle applies???
anyways if you have a fancy LCD TV that has a VGA input on the back trying using it to see if you have the same problem as with your monitor. If you dont then its the monitor and if you do have the same problem then it probably could be you video card.
If its none of that then im out of ideas
