Will a HDCP support computer monitor work to watch high def. tv?
I need a answer fast please!Planning to buy a monitor from new egg tomorrow.I am also going to be getting the new digital cable soon and would like to watch tv on my computer/monitor.My question is will a regular HDCP monitor work? What else would I need to have to hook up the dvr to my pc?I’ll choose the best answer!
As long as you have a digital HD cable box, it should work with an HDCP-compliant monitor.
Digital HD cable boxes usually have DVI or HDMI outputs, which is why it will work with an HDCP-compliant monitor. If you have a standard-definition digital cable box, it will NOT work because it won’t have DVI or HDMI outputs. It has to be a digital HD cable box.
Hope this helps.
