Will a external enclosure do the job?
My HP laptop screen is blank. When i turn it on, i can see the back light but it just fades in and out. I took it to the computer repair store in town and the tech guy hooked it up to a external monitor but nothing comes up either. Repairing it will be too pricey so we will probably just buy a desk top. I need files/pictures/music from the old HP. The tech guy told me i could get a external enclosure which will be able to transfer files from the old hp to new computer is that correct? I assume there will be some kind of usb to connect the two? I did not look at the product that he mentioned, (inspire 2.0 one touch backup or backpack) I cannot remember which one.
Will this be able to help me transfer the files being that the old HP does not have a working screen? Any recommendations would be appreciated!!
yes you can buy an external hard drive enclosure for the laptop’s hard drive, then just connect that to the new computer, and you will be able to transfer files from the old hard drive to the new computer.
