Is it possible to connect my DTV Converter Box into my computer monitor?

Like, is there some kind of that has the VGA plug on one side and has the RCA component cable on the other? My converter box has audio/video output with the 3 colored RCA cables. So can I somehow connect my box into my monitor and get it to work?

Not without a scan converter, no.

The signal characteristics for Component and VGA are different and NOT compatible.

YPbPr component transmits a video signal in three lines: Luma (Y), Blue/Luma variance (Pb), and Red/Luma variance (Pr). This is completely different from a VGA signal, which is transmitted in 5 separate lines: HSync, VSync, Red, Green and Blue.

That is why you need a scan converter device, which has electronics that can translate one signal format to another.

It’s a shame your setup is juuuust a bit behind the times. If your monitor is one of the newer widescreen LCDs with HDCP, you can connect it directly to a digital HD cable box, which has either DVI or HDMI outputs. Digital standard-definition cable boxes like yours doesn’t have DVI or HDMI. Only the HD ones do.
